Advance Construction
Originally from Iran, Michael Ghanivand never planned on a career in construction—his early goal was medicine. “I actually have a medical background,” he explains. “I attended medical school at the University of Szeged in Hungary, but when the Iranian economy took a downturn, my parents weren’t able to send enough money for me to continue. I came to the United States intending to work, save, and eventually return to school. But once I started working in construction, I discovered I really enjoyed it—and decided to make it my career.”
